Lost Parts

To be fully expressed in our work, we must first reclaim any Lost Parts of ourselves - the parts we've been taught to tame or hide.

Because what if your ‘too muchness’ IS your magic ingredient?

Your sensitivity? Your sensuality? Your feistiness?

What if the very thing you've been taught to reign in is EXACTLY what the world needs more of?

Here are some journalling prompts for you to start bringing your whole self to the table:

(1) IN WHAT WAYS HAVE FELT ‘TOO MUCH’ IN YOUR LIFE?

Think back to your childhood - what were you taught to hide or reign in? Can you identify a moment where it did not feel safe of desirable to express that part of you?

(2) HOW HAS THIS CAUSED YOU TO DIM YOUR LIGHT?

Reflect on how compromising that part of you has caused you to play small - be it in the past or in your current life.

(3) HOW CAN YOU INTEGRATE THAT PART OF YOU INTO YOUR WORK?

Consider for a moment that what you’ve believed to be ‘too much’ maybe exactly where your unique brand of magic lies, and exactly what YOUR people crave. It may be this unexpected ingredient that creates your secret sauce, the bat signal that helps your kindred spirits find you amidst the noise of our online world. What could you do differently in your work that honours that part of you?

These prompts are part of my Brand Therapy process. If they're stirring something in you, I'd love to take you deeper...
